The Fact Finder Residency Programme in Berlin / Summer 2019
From the 15th May to 15 June 2019, The Fact Finder organises a self-directed residency for artists or curators whose work is based on research.
Theme of the residency: fact-finding. Field research / immersive journalism / flâneur-ism / archiving / voyaging / storytelling are examples of the processes we regard as fact-finding missions, among others.
Studio
The selected resident will have access to a 50 sqm studio space for one month in a well-known art and gallery district of Berlin (Schöneberg). The studio is equipped with modelling woodworking tools and drawing facilities.
The studio-facility has a total area of 50 sqm, (two rooms) with an additional storage area, bathroom and utilities. The space is not a live-in studio. The residents are recommended to arrange for their own accommodation, travel and insurance while in Berlin.
Duration
The one-month self-directed residency programme is opened to both curators and artists, for new research or for production based on the results of a prior research.
Period: 15 Mai 2019 - 15 June 2019
Costs
The residency fee is in the total amount of 800 euro, plus an initial deposit fee of 400 Euro (deposit to be returned in one month after the end of the residency period). The payment of the fee shall occur in one instalment, latest one week before the commencement of the residency, by bank transfer.
